2011 Hyundai Elantra

Posted on November 11, 2010

With the Los Angeles Auto Show just around the corner, Hyundai has released a new teaser image of the 2011 Elantra.

While the company declined to release additional information, the Elantra’s Korean cousin – the Avante – was already unveiled at the Busan Motor Show. This means we can expect four-door coupe styling, HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlights and LED taillights.

Inside, the cabin will be vastly improved with higher quality materials and a modern design. If it’s anything like the Avante, we can expect up-market options such as ambient lighting, heated rear seats, and GPS navigation.

No word on what powers the Elantra, but the Avante features a 1.6-liter Gamma GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) four-cylinder engine with 140 PS (138 hp / 103 kW) and 133 lb-ft (167 Nm) of torque.

Additional information will be released later this month, so stay tuned for details.
